I am a pretty big guy. Not big tall, but big BIG. Or rather, I used to be. (OK, maybe by some people's standards I still am...) I underwent gastric bypass surgery on January 31, 2000 in an effort to lose weight. It has been a fairly successful endeavor, as I am nearing 200 pounds lost.
Since I had the surgery, I have been keeping a journal. I talk about what I am going through, not just in relation to the surgery, but life in general. I hope that what I have to say is of some interest to the people who venture into my world, but ultimately I am doing this because I enjoy it.

I hope those of you who are new will take the time to stop by my friend vidayoh_wiz's page. She was the one that actually got the journal off the ground. My taking it over is only temporary(I hope, because her page looks so much better. Thanks, wiz!!).
